philosophy

I design donation strategies that help people fund the causes they care about, to build a brighter future for us all. I help donors across the Democrat, leftist, and progressive spectrum, tailoring my approach and recommendations to your specific priorities and causes. I’m currently particularly focused on working with donors to fund electing Democrats up and down the ballot in the 2026 election cycle.

Whatever your situation, I start with a free intro call to learn more about each other and decide how we want to work together.

My recommendations are customized to each person, but I do have principles I work from to develop those strategies:

  • Unless it’s a donor’s particular focus, I rarely recommend giving to large, national organizations. In my experience, the marginal value of a dollar is often higher–and therefore your donation goes farther–when giving to small groups that are hyper-effective in the places they’re rooted. I research, vet, and verify organizations at all scales to ensure your money is being used effectively to support the causes you care about.
  • I value efficient and effective organizations, and look for groups that can demonstrate the good they do with donations. I also know that what might look like overhead is often critically necessary: a nonprofit can’t operate without insurance to make sure it can keep existing, for example; or a voter-rights group with a deep relationship in its city might distribute t-shirts to canvassers because their unique look signals to everyone in town that it’s time to vote, not as a fun giveaway in thanks for volunteering. I balance hard results data with an understanding of how nonprofits and advocacy organizations operate creatively on the ground to find groups that spend money wisely but creatively.
  • I believe in a big-tent approach, and will design strategies to support a variety of nonpartisan and left-of center causes, from supporting children’s literacy or preserving wild spaces to forwarding abortion rights or immigrant justice. To ask about a specific cause, get in touch.
